What is large-format printing?
Large-format printing produces graphics too big for standard commercial presses, typically anything wider than about 24 inches, on wide-format inkjet and flatbed printers. It covers banners, posters, backdrops, wall graphics, signage, trade show displays, and billboards. Red Bliss prints on flexible materials like vinyl, fabric, and mesh as well as rigid substrates. It is the foundation of nearly every service Red Bliss offers.
What materials can be used for large-format printing?
Red Bliss prints on flexible materials including scrim vinyl banner, mesh, adhesive vinyl, and polyester fabric, plus rigid substrates such as foam board, Coroplast, Sintra (PVC), Dibond (aluminum composite), acrylic, and gatorboard. Material choice depends on indoor or outdoor use, expected lifespan, mounting method, and budget. The team recommends a material with every quote.
What is the maximum size you can print?
Fabric runs up to 134 inches wide on the roll on the EFI VUTEk FabriVU 340. Beyond that, Red Bliss tiles panels and welds or sews them into one continuous piece, including building wraps and full media walls. Rigid boards are limited by sheet size, typically 4 by 8 feet or 5 by 10 feet. Very large displays like media walls, backdrops, and billboards are routinely produced as multi-panel jobs.
What resolution should artwork have for large-format printing?
Artwork should be built at 100 to 150 DPI at final print size, or at a proportional scale such as 25 percent with the resolution multiplied accordingly. Vector files for logos and text stay sharp at any size and are always preferred. Viewing distance matters: a billboard needs far less resolution than a tabletop sign. Red Bliss reviews every file and will flag resolution issues before proofing.
Can large-format graphics be used outdoors?
Yes, with the right material and finishing. Outdoor graphics in Las Vegas face intense UV, summer heat, and wind, so Red Bliss uses UV-cured or solvent inks on outdoor-rated vinyl, mesh, or rigid substrates, with hems, grommets, pole pockets, or laminates as needed. Indoor materials will fade and fail quickly outside. Tell the team the location and how long the graphic needs to last.
How long does large-format printing take?
Most standard large-format jobs are produced within the standard 2 to 3 business days after proof approval. Rigid substrates, fabric with SEG finishing, and large multi-panel jobs may take longer. Artwork readiness is the biggest variable, because files that need correction add time before production starts. Rush production is available for many projects when the schedule allows.
Can Red Bliss handle rush large-format printing in Las Vegas?
Yes. Red Bliss offers rush large-format printing for many Las Vegas projects, and local production means no shipping delays. Availability depends on material, size, finishing, and how print-ready your artwork is. Share your deadline when requesting a quote and the team will confirm what is realistic and suggest material swaps if they help hit the date.
Can you help prepare or correct artwork before printing?
Yes. Red Bliss can resize files, fix resolution and color issues, add bleed, convert fonts, and rebuild layouts to the correct dimensions. Send the highest quality source files you have, ideally vector or layered files. Basic press-prep is included; heavier design work is quoted separately.
